Thomas J. Buchte was valedictorian of his high school class in Sheffield, Massachusetts and was offered scholarships to numerous world-class universities. He chose to attend the University of Southern California, where he took Ira Kalb's marketing classes. Thomas exhibited many of the skills Professor Kalb was looking for in a consultant — intelligence, creativity, maturity, understanding of business fundamentals, and the ability to communicate well under pressure. In late 2007, Thomas joined Kalb & Associates as a senior consultant.
